ECO BIOBASED TPU HOT MELT ADHESIVES － Goldthane ECO SERIES
In 2015, UN set 17 sustainable development goals (SDGS). Especially SDGS 13 Climate Action, it is still possible to limit warming to 1.5oC and reduce Green House Gases of value chain. For difficultly reducing remaining emission, the effect could be offset by permanent removing equal amount of CO2 from air. To achieve the object, corporations set a goal that all supply chain should reduce 30% CO2 emission in 2030; furthermore, net zero emission in 2050.
 
Biobased TPU would replace common petrochemical raw materials by plant. Bio-material is made from fermentation vegetation. 
Moreover, vegetation is a recyclable natural resource which would carry out photosynthesis in growth process. 
Planting vegetation would absorb CO2 from air to balance the effect from the Green House Gases emission and a 
nice characteristic of environment. In order to reduce emission of Green House Gases, we manufacture Biobased TPU 
which is made from plant.




TUV (OK biobased) is currently the most authoritative bio-material certification mark in EU.  
CEN（CEN）“CEN / TS 16137：2011 establish calculation method for Determine the monomer, polymer, plastic material 
and Biobased carbon content. The 14C (CEN / TS 16137; US ASTM D6866) is the perfect way to measure Biobased carbon 
content of product or material. To identify biomass carbon and petrochemical source carbon, biomass carbon has distinctive 
carbon-14 content; however, petrochemical source carbon does not include carbon-14. 

By calculating rate of two type for Biobased content. In this standardize way, it could verify Biobased carbon content of 
product or material.  

TUV(OK biobased)：
★：Biobased 20%~40%；
★★：Biobased 40%~60%；
★★★：Biobased 60%~80%；
★★★★：Biobased >80% (the highest level)


GOLDTHANE successfully developed Biobased TPU hot melt product, ECO series, which is approved by 
laboratory BETA that biobased content is more than 31%.


Biobased TPU could apply for hot melt adhesive film、shoes material、armband、 waterproof adhesive strips and fabric pasting. 
Also, it could offer nice pasting result on Polyester、Nylon、cotton and so on.
